We've all made choices in the past that we later regret—decisions we wish we could take back. However, few regrets are as visible and permanent as the ones experienced by Ethan "ModBoy" Bramble, a body modification enthusiast from Australia who covered his body with over 200 tattoos.
Tattoos: A Popular Form of Self-Expression
In today’s world, tattoos have become an increasingly common way for people to express themselves. Intricate designs and quirky body art have gained popularity, but for some, the decision to get tattooed goes beyond just a fashion statement. While many people opt for small, simple designs, Ethan Bramble took things to a whole new level.

At just 11 years old, Ethan made his first body modification decision, stretching his ears. Since then, he has gone through numerous procedures, including tongue splitting and even having his belly button removed. However, it is his tattoos that have captured the most attention.
The Regret Behind Over 200 Tattoos
Ethan's tattoos are hard to miss—they cover his entire body, including his face. In total, he spent around $60,000 AUD (approximately $39,000 USD) to get his unique appearance. But as the years have gone by, Ethan has started to reflect on his choices and express regret over some of his ink.
In an interview with LadBibleTV’s No Filter series, Ethan shared his thoughts: “I guess you could say I regret some tattoos. Not just regret, I think there’s a difference between regret and wanting to be perceived differently.”
Facing Judgement and Mental Health Struggles
The father of one, Ethan revealed that his tattoos—especially those on his face—have made him feel anxious, particularly in social situations. One major concern has been how he might be judged when performing everyday tasks, like dropping his young daughter off at school.

“The face is a big thing that can lead to so many problems for yourself. I probably wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with that until she was a bit older,” he explained. “I wish I hadn’t gone so extreme on my face.”
A Bold Transformation: Laser Surgery to Remove Tattoos
To address his growing anxiety and the negative impact his tattoos have had on his mental health, Ethan has started undergoing painful laser treatments to remove some of his ink.
“I’ve been getting laser [surgery] for pretty much 12 months,” he shared. “We do it in sections, but I’ve probably gone over the full thing six or seven times.”
The decision to remove tattoos from his face wasn’t just about aesthetics; it was also about his peace of mind. "I’m happy with the way I look, but I’m also happy with the mentality that over the next two years, my face tattoos are going to become less and less. I’m just clearing the canvas."
Looking Ahead: Ethan’s Brave Journey to Change
Ethan's journey to reverse some of his tattoos shows remarkable courage. It’s inspiring to see him take control of his appearance and his future, all while prioritizing his mental health and his role as a father.
As he continues to undergo laser treatments, we’re eager to see the transformation unfold. Full respect to Ethan for making this brave change and for his honesty about the challenges he's faced.
